New Children's Book Accompanies Families Through the Eye Patch Period

Lia and Her Eye Patch is a children's book about the daily lives of children with eye patches, aimed at families, kindergartens, and practices. It supports conversations about insecurity, self-confidence, and how to deal with them – calmly, honestly, and in a way that relates to everyday life.

Lia and Her Eye Patch originated from the author's own daughter's eye patching journey. At the beginning of this time, there were many uncertainties and questions, and at the same time, there was a lack of a child-friendly story that could accompany children and adults in their daily lives. The book addresses questions, gazes, and feelings that often remain unspoken in everyday life, and translates them into an understandable, shared story for children and adults.

The book has been available since November 2025 and is already being used in families as well as in educational and ophthalmological settings.

Quote

"Children need stories in which they can find themselves – especially when their experiences are rarely told.

It was important to me to create a book that empowers children and helps adults lovingly support them."
